401k Contribution Limits 2024 Age 50. The 401(k) contribution limits for 2023 sit at $22,500 for retirement savers under 50 and $30,000 for those 50 and over. For those with a 401(k), 403(b), or 457 plan through an employer, your new maximum contribution limit will go up to $23,000 in 2024.
